Privacy Policy

Encounter+ is made by QBIT, s.r.o. (“QBIT”, “we”). This policy explains what the app does with your data.

The short version: the app collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Your content stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Encounter+ contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking software. We do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell or share, because we hold no data about you in the first place.

Older versions of the app did include third-party analytics and advertising components. Those were removed years ago and are not present in the current app.

Where your content is stored

Everything you create or import — your library, campaigns, modules, maps, images and game systems — lives in a local database on your device, plus a folder in the app’s Documents directory. None of it is sent to us.

That folder is visible in the Files app, so your content stays yours and you can copy it out at any time. It also means removing the app deletes everything in it, including database backups, so keep your own exports.

Network connections

The app runs a full game with no network at all. A connection is used only for these optional things:

• Downloading packages. Game systems and other downloadable content are fetched from a server over an ordinary web request. As with any web server, requests may appear in standard server logs; these are not used to identify or profile you.
• Remote play. When you turn on the web server, your device serves the map directly to your players’ browsers over your own network, or over the internet if you forward a port on your router. The connection is between your device and your players. It does not pass through us, and we never see the content.
• iCloud. If you use iCloud for backup or file transfer, that is Apple’s service and Apple’s privacy policy applies.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Payment details go to Apple, never to us. We receive only the aggregate sales reporting Apple provides, which does not identify individual customers.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no third-party trackers.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 9. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Any change is posted on this page and takes effect when posted.
